The Maltese Table: Food, Culture & Well Being By the Sea.

MAY 2026

A week in Malta exploring culinary heritage, wellness, and Mediterranean living, where shared tables, movement, and culture come together.

Over eight days, participants explored Malta and Gozo through the interconnected lenses of food, agriculture, wellness, culture, and community. The retreat combined daily Pilates sessions with immersive experiences designed to deepen understanding of the islands' landscapes, culinary traditions, and evolving food systems.

In Gozo, guests discovered local food culture through guided walks, farm-to-table dining, coastal foraging, and tastings of small-batch wines. Along the way, they learned about indigenous ingredients, traditional agricultural practices, and the close relationship between the islands' natural environment and culinary heritage.

The journey continued in Malta with explorations of Valletta's rich history, architecture, and maritime legacy. Participants experienced both contemporary and traditional Maltese cuisine, from Michelin-starred dining to regenerative farm dinners that highlighted the importance of sustainable agriculture and local food production.

Through conversations with farmers, foragers, winemakers, chefs, and cultural guides, guests gained insight into Malta's unique identity while building meaningful connections with fellow travellers. The retreat offered an opportunity to slow down, reconnect with nature, and experience the islands through their food, people, and stories.

“Malta surprised us at every turn. One moment we were exploring a UNESCO World Heritage city, the next we were harvesting ingredients, tasting local wines, and dining with farmers overlooking the Mediterranean. Through food, culture, and conversation, we discovered an island rich in history, hospitality, and beauty. The experience felt both deeply grounding and utterly unforgettable.”
